hi, my name is ruben, but some people call me e.j., or whatever - and i'm 18. i live in italy and it sucks; i'd rather live in scotland or somewhere in the united states.
i enjoy tv shows such as supernatural, jericho, heroes, lost and house. i also enjoy creating websites or online role playing games (chat based) with my computer, using programming languages such as the good old html, php and sql, although i hope to learn asp and ajax one day. i know a little bit of c++, but not much, because i still haven't found it useful enough for me to motivate a more detailed study.
the person i care most about in the whole world is my dog, jack. jack is the best friend i could ever have; we love each other very much, although he now lives far from me, at my mother's house, but i hope i'll be able to take him with me as soon as possible.
as far as music goes, i love classic rock or what would be defined as "mullet" rock, and generally movie soundtracks are my passion. i don't like pop, rap, and all the "modern" genres, even though there are some exceptions from time to time.
i have a vegetarian roommate and a vegan one - even though i'm already trying to keep kosher so i have "rules" for my meat eating, i think i'm going to become a vegetarian too, someday soon. there would be the motivation, but the problem is that i can't cook vegetables so i'd have to learn how to do that first :P
however, i support animal rights and i try to do something about those as much as i can.

other random facts about me:
i'm jewish, i love chemistry, i read manga and watch anime, i'm trying to teach myself biblical hebrew, i speak ancient greek and latin, i have a wii and love it, i play the piano, a little bit of violin and i'm just now starting to learn how to play the guitar, i'd love to learn russian and yiddish someday, i want to become an activist.

right now, i'm a high school student. i still have to decide what i want to be when i grow up, but i think it'll be a vet, or a doctor. or a firefighter. or a ninja. or a monster.

edited august 4th 2007: dude, i'm a veg :) i simply thought that i can't love animals and eat them. so i'm becoming vegetarian as soon as i finish the (little amount of) meat i have in the house. it feels great! it really feels like it's ethically right to do this. and, i adopted my dog jack officially, so he now lives with me and the other family dog (my roommate's), akemi. i'm probably going to adopt a puppy dog (female!) next week, and that's something i'd want to do so much. i think that having puppies grow up in a non-loving situation like a dog pound is awful. yay for a completely vegetarian house with three dogs!
